Oliver Goldsmith is an iconic British brand that can boast of nearly 100 years of experience. Since the humble beginning in 1926, the company has been striving to change the way people see the world through their outstanding eyewear designs. Nowadays, OG continues to create some of the most beautiful eyewear pieces in the world, pushing the boundaries of expectation, individuality and self-expression.
Oliver Goldsmith’s OG Icons collection is all about true classics; it includes timeless designs, inspired by British history and heritage – architecture, fashion and cinematography. From the Goldsmith family private archive of vintage frames, each OG ICON is an exact reproduction of the original sunglasses that have proved iconic for nearly 80 years. For the Spring/Summer ’21 season, Oliver Goldsmith unveils six new enticing sunglasses, oozing with the sophisticated and glamorous spirit of the Goldsmith Icons. These are timeless silhouettes that will always have a place in fashion: Ego, Kari, Señor, Hep, Kendall and UUKSUU.
The new OG releases recreate the brand’s most coveted shades worn by world-famous celebrities in film, TV and fashion. Hep is one of the highlights that was originally designed for and worn by the iconic actress Audrey Hepburn in the 1960s. Timeless and elegant oversized frame features oval shape and neat vintage keyhole bridge, which makes it a perfect choice for women with smaller faces who appreciate chic, understated accessories. The shades are offered in very cool nude tones of champagne and pink champagne or classic dark tortoise.

Another eye-catching release to the collection, Kari, is an achingly sexy and brilliantly distinctive frame, originally presented in 1973. These beautifully arched sunglasses typify seventies cool, evoking the soul and energy of that period and the beautiful women who used to wear them. The elegant design is perfectly complemented by bold, classic color combinations, from Black Leopard, Tortoise & Cherry to Rose and 10pm which accentuate the sophisticated shaping. Kari is an ideal balance of drama and wearability, which makes it a perfect accessory to add something extra to an outfit whether it’s jeans and a t-shirt or full glam.
Originally unveiled in 1970, the Kendall is a mighty good-looking pair of frames, designed for the modern and fashion-forward man. These geometric aviators are the perfect example of all things good in 70’s design. The linear top line is offset by the abstract angles of the frame, yet it retains a certain subtlety.
