Shamir Autograph® II+ progressive lenses provide their wearers with wider fields of view, which makes them perfect for all sorts of everyday needs. They are designed to be more ergonomically comfortable while working, reading, and doing other various daily tasks. Most lens designs are universally optimized for near vision, using an average inset value, which is acceptable in many cases. However when it comes to any irregularities, near vision may be narrow or unfocused. Autograph® II+ allows the ECP to specify the patient inset, providing a wider, more focused near viewing.
Shamir’s Advanced Technologies
Autograph® II+ is an everyday progressive lens that is personalized for patients’ needs thanks to four of Shamir’s cutting-edge technologies: Close-Up™, EyePoint Technology®, As-Worn Technology™ and Natural Posture™. The Close-Up® adjusts the reading zone inset of every lens according to the individual wearer’s convergence during near viewing. To create a lens that’s even better suited for the patient, Shamir utilizes the As-Worn Technology™ which is based on three different measurements (Vertex Distance – Fitted, Pantoscopic Tilt, Panoramic Angle). In its turn, the EyePoint Technology® guarantees a more accurate and comfortable visual experience.
Ergonomic Design Concept
The near viewing zone in Shamir Autograph® II+ is dynamically located within the lens corridor, taking into account the RX sphere value – minus or plus, thus improving the binocular prismatic misbalance for anisometropic cases. The Shamir’s patented Natural Posture™ is a groundbreaking ergonomic design technology that removes the need to move the head backwards or forwards or alternatively to raise or lower a book when reading to find the right viewing angle and distance. Any discomfort is thereby minimized and wearers are ensured a natural, comfortable viewing posture.
