SILMO Paris – the Optical Fair

SILMO Paris – the Optical Fair

If you ask what the optical industry’s key international event is, the answer will be obvious: SILMO Paris. It is a benchmark annual exhibition presenting new designs, collections, collaborations and latest technologies in the eyewear business. While the COVID-19 pandemic made holding the event in the full format impossible in 2020, SILMO 2021 returns to its regular, in-person format and takes place on 24 – 27 September 2021 – at the Parc des Expositions Paris Nord Villepinte. This year, the organizers are expecting about 500 companies from 32 countries.

The popularity of SILMO Paris is steadily on the rise. Year after year, the event attracts an increasing number of professionals of the eyewear industry around the same objective: to discover the future of the optical world. Also, it is the place where opticians and brands encounter tomorrow’s business and their own future successes. To visit SILMO Paris is like to travel through time in order to lift the veil of the future, where the latest trends and technologies converge, mix and agglomerate to bring forth new outstanding projects, unique collaborations, and rewarding ideas.

SILMO Paris welcomes about 1,500 brands each year, which makes it the perfect launching pad for new eyewear designs and collections. With a significant presence from global trade visitors, exhibitors have exciting opportunities to promote their brand, connect with the right target groups and share experience with industry leaders. In addition to exhibition spaces, the unequalled supporting events will complement the SILMO Paris 2021 commercial area, offering fresh insights on integrating the up-to-date innovations and enhancing retail experience. Among them is the visionary space of SILMO Next, the Trends Forum and SILMO Academy with its laser-sharp focus on the latest scientific developments in optics.

And, of course, the special attention is given to the Silmo d’Or awards that celebrate the talent and creativity of the entire eyewear industry each year. The much-coveted golden statuette will reward those brands who help drive the industry. To guarantee safety and comfort is at the top of the organizers’ agenda, with health protocols being observed and reinforced according to the French administrative authorities.
