Even G2 Expands Its Style with Brown 2 Color and New Accessories

With Dark Brown already available as one of the options for Even G2, the designer team behind the glasses thought they could also benefit from a lighter, softer, shade of this color. That's how Brown 2 turned up, with its gentle streaks and tone variations inspired by the famous tortoiseshell pattern. Unlike some of the richer, more vibrant tortoises seen across the industry, though, the company chose a much more toned-down variation, more suited for a professional setting. With Even G2 being worn by quite a number of business and office users, it had to feel premium and stylish, but without trying to stand out. And Brown 2 seems to do the job just right.

However, this seemingly simple undertaking went way beyond just rolling out the new color and calling it a day. To make this subtle, nuanced tortoiseshell work for Even G2, Even Realities effectively had to come up with a whole new material! First, it viewed the possibility of using acetate, but eventually discarded the option for being too soft and prone to losing shape in conditions like high temperatures or very humid weather. Instead, the company developed its own, custom alternative providing more strength and stability that it felt was needed for Even G2 glasses.

The name or technology behind this mysterious material hasn't yet been disclosed, other than the fact that it undergoes a long tumbling process before going into production. This procedure reportedly gives the surface the same soft finish and depth of pattern as that of acetate, making up for the visual richness that might have otherwise been lost to the choice of a more rigid material. Even Realities also teased that, as a result of such thorough polishing, the new design has shed one full gram of weight, which makes Even G2 Brown 2 the lightest pair in the lineup. Other colors available as of today are the already mentioned Dark Brown, Dark Gray, and Olive Green, each coming in a magnesium alloy frame. 

Dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries, eyewear chains actually started as a functional way to keep one's pair safe and always at hand. Over the following decades, their role gradually shifted towards more of a fashion trait than a necessary feature. However, nowadays, when glasses are worn without prescription, as a style accessory, chains regain their practical meaning again. And they make particular sense with smart glasses. Even G2 wearers put their glasses on whenever they need features like Conversate or Translate and take them back off when no longer in use, multiple times a day. The Even G2 chain, introduced as part of the update, allows you to keep your smart eyewear within instant reach, wearing it like a necklace when you don't need it. You no longer have to go through the trouble of putting your glasses in and out of a case every time or forgetting where you left them altogether.

The new Even G2 chain is made of stainless steel, a material known for its reliability and lightness, plus anticorrosive properties. The thickness is carefully calibrated to achieve the optimal strength-to-weight ratio, while the length allows the glasses to rest at a comfortable level on your chest when you take them off. The chain is, once again, deliberately simple in design, keeping the overall Even G2 look professional and high-end rather than chasing any trends just for the sake of it. As Even Realities puts it, the best chain is the one that exists quietly in the background and feels like a natural continuation of the frame.

The Even G2 line already had clip-ons, allowing you to easily transition from indoor use as regular eyeglasses to UV protection when stepping outside into the bright sun. However, a lot of users from regions where sunlight is particularly intense have repeatedly requested a polarized Even G2 clip. What polarization does is reduce the glare from any surfaces that reflect light - water, roads, glass, and so on. As a result, you get a much clearer, more detailed picture without so much distortion and can enjoy more comfort as you look at the world around you. For someone using Even G2, this feature may come especially handy when spending a day out on the beach or driving - in the latter case, it can actually also increase your safety.

Originally, the Even G2 clip was added to allow its uninterrupted use in scenarios where you need to switch to sunglasses but don't want to take off your smart glasses. Simply attaching the clip over the lenses of the pair you already have turns Even G2 into full-fledged shades, so you don't have to choose between UV protection and smart functionality - you get both at the same time. As a pleasant style bonus, the new mirrored lenses give the spectacles a really sleek, stylish look. 

Rolled out in November 2025, Even G2 is the second generation of smart glasses developed by Even Realities. The company took a somewhat different approach from many of its competitors. Rather than packing its product full of speakers and cameras, it deliberately left both out. Even G2 can't play audio, nor is it able to take photos or videos. Instead, the device focuses on providing useful information that is delivered directly into your field of vision. 

Here is how it works: the frame has tiny micro-LED projectors built into it, and whenever you activate a feature, the relevant data is sent right onto your lenses. It appears as discreet green text or graphics that float right before your eyes, allowing you to read notifications, navigation instructions, translations, or receive AI-generated assistance in real time without constantly looking down at your phone. All of that with two full days of battery life on a single charge! And since, on top of that, Even G2 offers a universally minimalist design that looks just like a regular pair of eyeglasses and is incredibly lightweight to wear all day long, the gadget has quickly picked up steam with both professionals and everyday users. 

• Conversate: Displays a conversation you're having as text before your eyes in real time, lists relevant facts and explains unfamiliar terms, suggests responses, and provides a summary of the dialogue.
• Translate: Provides real-time translation when talking to someone who speaks another language, sending the translated text directly onto your lenses.
• Teleprompt: Allows you to upload a script for a speech or presentation to the Even G2 app and read it from your glasses as you deliver it. In AI mode, the script is scrolled automatically at your pace, so you can keep eye contact with the audience.
• Navigate: Guides you to your destination on foot or by bicycle, displaying a small map with turn-by-turn directions, street names, and distances.
• Notifications: Shows messages and notifications from your smartphone on your Even G2 glasses.
• Dashboard: Lets you quickly check the time, weather, upcoming calendar events, reminders, and other information without taking out your phone.
• Even AI: Activated by a single phrase, "Hey Even", the built-in AI assistant answers your questions and helps you control the Even G2 glasses in real time, displaying the response before your eyes.
