The latest cooperation of JW Anderson and Persol resulted in classic models of sunglasses filled with interesting colors and fashionable looks. Jonathan Anderson says that he has always been a big fan of the famous Italian brand Persol, and used to wear their glasses in classic style all the time. For the partnership with the company, Anderson has looked for two frames – the ‘649’ aviator silhouette that dates back to 1957 and became famous thanks to Marcello Mastroianni, and the stylish ‘009’ spectacle that features four lenses. Both frames were reinterpreted with bold combinations of bright colors, including orange, bold blue, and red.

Thanks to the wise balance and experience of both parties, Persol and JW Anderson created two pairs of sunnies released in stylish and bold tones to make a fashion statement. The PO0649 style is a limited edition pair of glasses crafted from recycled acetate. Colorful and eye-catching, the iconic frame is reborn in four amazing tone mixes to offer innovative shades for contemporary people who prefer exclusive accessories. These unique spectacles are made from reused scrap materials and feature well-known logotypes of both JW Anderson and Persol labels. Due to the fruitful partnership of two fashion designers, distinctive frames became even more recognizable.

Another pair of trendy sunglasses, the PO0009 is a famed model of Persol with four lenses, and together with JW Anderson, this frame gets brighter and even more trendy with four wonderful color combinations. Each spectacle features the mix of two tones selected exclusively by Jonathan Anderson. The palette is focused on juxtaposition: dark and light green, white and black, light blue and orange, or pink and blue – there are so many eye-catching colors to choose from! Every pair has a Persol logo on temple tips and also a JW Anderson signature to ensure authenticity.

The pair of new sunnies from this cooperation was featured in the SS 2022 collection of JW Anderson as a tiny hint at a future possible partnership of two fashion-forward eclectic brands. Eight portraits of new sunglasses were made by the famous photographer Tyler Mitchell in collaboration with hairstylist Jawara and stylist Benjamin Bruno who created extraordinary looks. Sculptural hairstyles are amazing to create stunning images with new sunglasses and highlight each pair individually.
